Overview
We want every WritePilot customer to feel confident in their purchase. This Refund Policy explains when you are entitled to a refund, how to request one, how long it takes to process, and the limited cases where refunds are not available.
30-day money-back guarantee
If you are not satisfied with WritePilot for any reason, you can request a full refund within 30 days of your initial paid subscription. No long forms, no interrogation — just send us a message and we'll process the refund. The guarantee applies to your first paid plan and to first-time upgrades from Free to a paid plan.
Eligibility
You are eligible for a refund if all of the following are true:
- the request is made within 30 days of the original charge;
- the Account has not violated our Terms & Conditions or Acceptable Use Policy;
- the Account has not been used in a way that suggests abuse of the refund process (for example, repeatedly subscribing and refunding to consume free quota);
- for annual plans, the request is made within 30 days of the most recent annual renewal.
What is non-refundable
- Renewals after the first 30-day window — cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
- Add-ons, overage charges, and pay-as-you-go credits that have already been consumed.
- Custom services, onboarding fees, and white-label setup once delivery has started.
- Charges older than 30 days, except where required by applicable consumer-protection law.
- Accounts terminated by us for breach of the Terms.
How to request a refund
Email billing@writepilot.app from the address associated with your Account and include:
- your Account email;
- the date and amount of the charge;
- a brief reason (optional, but it helps us improve).
You can also reach us through our contact page.
Processing time
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. We'll email a confirmation as soon as the refund leaves our payment processor. International transfers and currency-conversion timing are outside our control.
Cancellations vs. refunds
Cancelling your subscription stops future charges but does not, on its own, refund the current period. You retain access to paid features until the end of the period you already paid for. To request a refund of the current period, follow the steps in How to request a refund above.
EU / UK consumer rights
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services, starting on the day of purchase. By starting to use the Service immediately after purchase, you expressly request the supply of digital content before the withdrawal period ends and acknowledge that you may lose the right of withdrawal once performance has begun. Our 30-day money-back guarantee is offered in addition to, and is more generous than, this statutory right.
Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first — we will almost always resolve it faster than a chargeback. Disputed chargebacks may result in suspension of the Account until resolved, in line with our Terms & Conditions.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
